The American Kennel Club sanctions obedience competitions in three main levels - novice, open, and utility.   AKC obedience competitions are open to all AKC recognized breeds of dogs, including those in the miscellaneous class.  Even if your dog is not AKC registered, your dog may be able to compete under AKC's Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) program.  The ILP program is designed for dogs that appear close to purebred and are spayed or neutered.  You can find more information on AKC obedience and on the ILP program at their web page: www.akc.org

See the yahoo group "ColoradoObedience" at www.yahoogroups.com
