- Field Trial Titles -
FC -- Field Champion (must earn 10 points from Open Stake or win National Retriever Club trial)
AFC -- Amateur Field
Champion (must earn 15 points from Amateur Stake or 10 points from Open Stake handled by an amateur or win National Amateur Retriever Club trial)
NFC -- National Field
Champion (winner of National Retriever Club stake)
NAFC -- National
Amateur Field Champion (winner of National
Amateur Retriever Club stake)
- Field Trial Stakes (or classes) -
Derby -- for dogs two
years and under (marks only, no blinds)
Qualifying -- for
dogs of any age that have not won more than two first or second place
ribbons in qualifying stake, a dog that has placed first or second in
qualifying is termed "all age qualified" and is eligible to enter
limited stakes.
Amateur -- a champion
or major stake in which the dogs that place can earn points towards their
AFC title, dogs must be handled by an amateur handler.
Open -- a champion or
major stake in which the dogs that place can earn points towards their FC
title, and, if handled by an amateur, towards their AFC title.
